The research of our group is in the area of applied mathematics, and centers on the development, analysis and computational implementation of numerical methods for the solution of linear and nonlinear (partial) differential equations. Current topics of our work include:
- Finite element methods and discontinuous Galerkin schemes, hp-methodology
- Adaptive iterative Galerkin methods for nonlinear problems
- Galerkin time stepping schemes, nonlinear evolution problems of blow-up type
Furthermore, we are interested in numerical linear algebra applications in physics and biology. We are also active in promoting applied mathematics in undergraduate science and secondary school education.
